Gualtiero Marchesi was THE MAESTRO, THE CHEF, the founder of Italian Haute Cuisine. A presence and a legacy that is still alive in the kitchens of countless restaurants around the world and in the dishes of the ‘Marchesi Boys’, his multi-starred chef disciples (including Pietro Leheman, Andrea Berton, Carlo Cracco, Davide Oldani, ...), who unanimously recognize his decisive influence on their own careers. His cuisine is still a subject of study, as is his incredible life, about which books have been written and films made. Gualtiero Marchesi is a character to be discovered.

The exclusive experience proposed by Olymphia Waters starts at Bonvesin de la Riva, the landmark location where Marchesi opened his first restaurant, and which today houses the eponymous Accademia di Alta cucina Italiana and Foundation. Here, under the guidance of his disciples, you will participate in a private Masterclass in which some of Marchesi’s signature dishes, such as the famous rice and gold, the secret of which few know. In the evening, you will move to the Grand Hotel Tremezzo, on Lake Como, for dinner at the Terrazza Gualtiero Marchesi, in the company of his daughter Simona and son-in-law Enrico, who will share with you the anecdotes of an extraordinary life.
