Milan Design Week 2025: OW Selection

At Palazzo Bovara, Elle Decor Italia celebrates its 35th anniversary with the visionary installation Alchemica. Curated by Patricia Urquiola, with lighting by Valerio Tiberi, landscape design by Antonio Perazzi and the exhibition coordination by Netsuke Studio – this installation represents a real living metaphor.

Through a sensorial journey of light, form, and nature, Alchemica explores the ever-evolving nature of the home – our most intimate landscape.

Like alchemists of space, the creators reinterpret domestic living as a dynamic, emotional and transformative experience. A place in constant flux – mirroring who we are, who we become and how we live.

At Olympia Waters, we believe true luxury lies in this very transformation. If the domestic space is a laboratory of endless reinvention, so are we. Our essence is molded by the experiences we create, and redefined by the people we design them for.

Each journey is a new expression. Each moment, a signature of change.

MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2025: WHERE LIGHT, MATTER AND EMOTION SHAPE DESIGN

Ethereal and immersive was the installation curated by Hermés at Pelota, an experience in which matter merges with light, where the environment becomes an ethereal space, where design expresses itself as pure emotion. With suspended and lightweight structures, the scenography played with light and shadow, revealing the new creations in an evanescent atmosphere.

Among the most awaited collaborations, the one between Yves Saint Laurent and Charlotte Perriand, staged at the Visconti Pavilion, in Tortona Rocks. The exhibition brought together a quartet of furnishings that the designer imagined between 1943 and 1967 – until today they had remained prototypes or sketches – for some of her homes around the world and for the residence of a diplomat in Paris.

“Fashions fade, style is eternal.”

Among the unmissable locations of the 2025 edition, Gucci | Bamboo Encounters, an exhibition that celebrates the legacy of bamboo in the history of design and in the identity of the Maison. Set in the beautiful Chiostri di San Simpliciano in Milan, dating back to the 16th century, the exhibition, curated and designed by 2050+ and its founder Ippolito Pestellini Laparelli, is inspired by the pioneering use of bamboo.

Starting from this important legacy, the exhibition presented seven new unique projects, created by contemporary designers representing different geographies and generations, called to re-imagine and re-contextualize this emblematic material in bold and unexpected ways.

AT FUORISALONE THE MOST DESIRED GADGET IS FROM ETRO

The Arnica stool, given as a gift to all the participants in the "5 THREADS, 40 YEARS" exhibition, is already a cult object.

The tribute exhibition set up at the Etro Home Collection Boutique was specifically created to celebrate the forty years of Arnica, the Maison's iconic fabric: five brightly colored threads that intertwine to create a resistant Paisly jacquard fabric, now an unmistakable signature of the brand.
